Speaker 0: Bobby Tail and the Winter Reading Rush. Read by Mike Ellsmore. The first frost that dusted the tree library's leaves with silver when Bobby Tail noticed something strange. Long lines of woodland creatures stretched from every door. Winter's coming, whispered a sleepy hedgehog, and we all need books to read during the cold days.
Bobby's ears twitched with worry. How could he make sure everyone got enough books for winter? Barnaby Badger arrived, his pocket watch frosted with ice. We need a special system, he declared. With a wave of his watch, different magical tapestries appeared in the air.
One showed floating snowflakes that counted available books, another had glowing icicles measuring return times, and a third created a rainbow arch showing different types of winter stories. Each panel tells us something different about our library, Bobby exclaimed excitedly. The arraymowl family popped up, their numbered sweaters now topped with warm scarves. Look what we can build this week, creating more magical visual templates. They stacked shivering acorns into climbing towers to show how many books each animal group needed.
There were strands of sparkling web between related books, making a beautiful pattern that showed which stories went together. Finally, they created a timeline of twinkling stars showing when books would return to the library. Lily and Luna loop squirrels swung down from their branches. We can track the most popular winter stories Lily began, and make sure everyone gets their favourite kind, Luna finished. They created swirling paths of light showing how books could be shared between different groups of readers.
Daisy Debook Duck waddled in from the snow, her magnifying glass catching snowflakes. Let's check its fur, she quacked, examining their magical blackboard. Together, they adjusted the glowing displays until every creature would get just the right number of books to last until spring. As the first snow began to fall, Bobbietail watched their tapestry of information spring to life. Crystal timers showed when books would return, floating acorns tracked what was available, and glowing paths helped every creature find what they needed.
The tree library had never been so organized. That winter was the tree library's busiest ever, but thanks to the magical dashboard, every creature had plenty to read. Bears cuddled up with tall tales for their long sleep, squirrels had nutty adventures to enjoy in their nests, and even the smallest mice had tiny tails to keep them cozy. Bobbie Tail smiled, watching happy readers heading home with through the snow. The concepts in this book include director's insights, dashboards, panels, and charts.
