When Legacy Systems Become Digital Quicksand

Fortuna's content management nightmare stemmed from a fundamental dependency problem. Their legacy gaming platform provider controlled not just the backend systems but also the front-end interfaces across web and mobile channels. This left Fortuna's development teams constrained by a third party's technical decisions and deployment schedules.

The most painful symptom was having completely separate content management systems for web and mobile platforms.

Marketing teams had to duplicate every promotional campaign, game launch, and content update across two different systems. This process consumed valuable time and introduced the constant risk of inconsistencies.

[The platform] was so 90s, you know - robust and heavy. Once you deploy, if you mess it up, you could literally put the whole website down for a few hours, even though you just wanted to change a label or a jackpot ticket.

Juradin's search led him to the ICE gaming conference, where a chance conversation changed everything.
