Directus is hiring a Demand Generation Director with expertise in open source sales environments to own and drive pipeline growth. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, and working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and analysis of programs and campaigns that generate, nurture, and convert leads through PLG, email, advertising, webinars, events, website conversion, social, and partner marketing.
Strategy & PlanningAssess current and emerging demand gen channels in rapidly changing marketing environment Develop a deep understanding of Directus customers, what they do, what keeps them up at night and what we can do to alleviate their pain points to create an enjoyable and engaging customer experienceDevelop monthly, quarterly and annual demand gen plans in support of marketing and business objectives Own a monthly and quarterly qualified opportunity quota directly tied to new bookings targets Build and lead the demand generation function to drive predictable, scalable and repeatable pipeline and ultimately contribute to revenue growthDefine sales and marketing alignment at Directus in order to provide relevant information to both leadership and sales teams
Lead Gen & Engagement Program ExecutionDevelop and execute end-to-end demand gen programs and campaigns that reach the right targets in the right part of the sales funnel at the right time Define and develop lead nurturing campaigns based on target buyer personas and real-time measurements based on lead quality and conversion Work in close collaboration with marketing to ensure on-brand messaging Generate leads that convert to sales opportunities. This includes concept, content & design, external vendor and internal resource management, delivery, measurement and reporting Management of all inbound and outbound digital demand generation channels, such as email, digital advertising, industry conferences, SEO, webinars, social and account-based marketing (ABM)Must have experience executing digital strategies and tactics to drive web traffic, content conversion and brand awareness Create and manage comprehensive email calendar across all channels and targets Implement revenue marketing strategy and create repeatable prospecting programs that drive new customer acquisition and measurable sales for a predictable return on investment Optimize lead flow, scoring and lifecycle management in HubSpot Work closely with sales team to further define and implement optimal lead management processes, messaging and resources — including lead assignment, response times, and follow-up cadences
Measurement, Analysis, & ReportingManage program KPIs by analyzing program impact on pipeline, bookings, and revenuePartner with the sales team to ensure demand plans meet or exceed the team’s expectations and that they are appropriately enabled to participate in and follow-up on demand initiativesCarefully track and communicate demand generation goals and KPIs, and individual program and channel performance, ensuring learnings are consistently leveraged to inform strategy moving forward Assess overall program performance, make and implement recommendations for ongoing optimization and improvement Own roadmap, calendar, execution, and performance of demand priorities, campaigns, and programs, consistently communicating initiatives, progress, and results to the broader marketing team, sales team, and company leadership
Experience You HaveExperience marketing open source productsFive plus years B2B demand gen experience in a fast paced startup SaaS environment Three plus years experience with HubSpotStrong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven marketing Experience and comfort owning monthly and quarterly lead gen quotas Top-notch interpersonal skills Excellent written communication and presentation skills Self-motivated, organized, and a strategic thinker Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
